| BTSC Work Inspector (Mechanical) Recruitment 2025 Selection Process |
| BTSC Work Inspector (Mechanical) Recruitment 2025 Selection Process, Appointment to the post of Work Inspector (Mechanical) shall be made on the basis of a Competitive Examination. (i) Preparation of Merit List The merit list of candidates for selection shall be prepared on the basis of the Written Competitive Examination, as follows: (a) For the Written Competitive Examination (Computer Based Test), the total marks shall be 100. (ii) Written Competitive Examination The Commission shall conduct the Written Competitive Examination for all candidates through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Syllabus of the Examination: (a) The question paper of the competitive examination shall consist of a total of 100 questions. All questions shall be of multiple-choice objective type. (b) The duration of the examination shall be two hours, and the total marks shall be 100. (c) The examination shall include questions from ITI (Machinist / Fitter / Wireman / Electrician) and Matriculation / 10th standard level, as follows: Machinist тАУ 15 questions Fitter тАУ 15 questions Wireman тАУ 15 questions Electrician тАУ 15 questions Mathematics (Matric level as prescribed by BSEB) тАУ 20 questions General Knowledge тАУ 20 questions The question paper shall be available in both Hindi and English languages. (d) Questions shall be asked on the basis of the ITI level syllabus (Machinist / Fitter / Wireman / Electrician) prescribed by the concerned department and the Matric / 10th level syllabus prescribed by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The detailed syllabus shall be published separately on the CommissionтАЩs website. btsc.bihar.gov.in (e) The said examination shall be conducted in one or more shifts through Computer Based Test mode. If the examination is conducted in more than one shift, the Normalization process shall be adopted while preparing the examination result. (f) Negative Marking shall be applicable for wrong answers. 01 mark shall be awarded for each correct answer. 0.25 mark shall be deducted for each incorrect answer. (g) Based on the said examination, the Score Card of all candidates shall be published after adopting the Normalization process. (h) As per the resolutions of the Cabinet Secretariat and General Administration Department, Government of Bihar the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination shall be as follows: General Category тАУ 40% Backward Class тАУ 36.5% Extremely Backward Class тАУ 34% SC / ST / Women / Persons with Disabilities тАУ 32% Candidates failing to secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks shall be disqualified from the competition. (iii) Document Verification As per rules, candidates who are qualified in the Written Competitive Examination shall be invited for Document Verification by preparing a category-wise merit list in accordance with the provisions mentioned in Advertisement Clause-5(i). Note: If a candidate fails to obtain the minimum qualifying marks prescribed for their respective category in the competitive examination, no claim of the candidate shall be accepted. |
