Note: The full official notification covers 1,501 posts (Advt. 1/2026 Class-II: 195 + Advt. 2/2026 Class-III & IV: 1,306) across CSPDCL (650), CSPGCL (572), CSPTCL (102) and common posts (177). Reservation notes (as per the official notification): 30% horizontal, compartment-wise reservation for women candidates of Chhattisgarh domicile only. Ex-Servicemen: 10% (Class-III) / 20% (Class-IV) horizontal reservation for CG domicile candidates. PwD reservation as per CSPTCL Order No. 550319/2026 dated 30-07-2026. SC/ST/OBC reservation applies to Chhattisgarh domicile candidates only. The recruitment is subject to the final outcome of SLP (C) 19668/2022 in the Hon’ble Supreme Court, so category-wise vacancies may change.

Age Limit

Age as on 01 January 2026: Assistant Engineer — minimum 21 years; Junior Engineer and Attendant (Plant) Gr. III — minimum 18 years. Maximum age: UR (Male) 40 years; UR (Female) and SC/ST/OBC (Male/Female) 45 years. Candidates from outside Chhattisgarh: maximum 30 years for Assistant Engineer posts. Including all relaxations, the maximum age limit is 45 years. Ex-Servicemen get age relaxation as per Chhattisgarh Government rules. Departmental candidates (regular employees of CS Power Companies with 1 year of regular service) are exempt from the maximum age limit and the application fee.

Salary Details

Assistant Engineer (Gen / T&D / Civil) — Pay Matrix O-1: Rs 56,100 – 1,44,300 per month (minimum basic pay Rs 56,100). Junior Engineer (Plant / T&D / Civil) — Pay Matrix S-8: Rs 35,400 – 1,12,400 per month (minimum basic pay Rs 35,400). Attendant (Plant) Grade III — Pay Matrix S-2: Rs 15,600 – 45,200 per month (minimum basic pay Rs 15,600). Selected candidates will be governed by the National Pension System (NPS) after regularisation. Service bond: Assistant Engineer Rs 3,00,000; Junior Engineer Rs 2,00,000; Attendant (Plant) Gr. III Rs 50,000 — to serve the Power Companies for a minimum of 4 years (including probation/training).

Selection Process

1. Online Computer Based Test (CBT): 2 hours, 100 MCQs of 1 mark each (Total 100 marks) — Part I: Professional Subject (80 questions) + Part II: General Knowledge, General Verbal Ability (English), General Verbal Ability (Hindi), Logical Reasoning / General Mental Ability / Quantitative Abilities (20 questions). Negative marking: 0.25 mark deducted for every wrong answer; no marks for un-attempted questions. Qualifying marks: 40% for UR/OBC, 30% for SC/ST. Question paper in English and Hindi (English version prevails in case of any discrepancy). CBT centres: Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai, Ambikapur and Jagdalpur.
2. Assistant Engineer: On CBT merit, 3–5 times the candidates per category are called for Document Verification, followed by an Interview of 10 marks. Final merit = CBT marks + Interview marks.
3. Junior Engineer and Attendant (Plant) Gr. III: On CBT merit, up to 3 times the candidates per category are called for Document Verification. Final merit = CBT marks only.
4. Document Verification / Interview will be held at Raipur only. Selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate (Divisional Medical Board for Class-II posts, District Medical Board for Class-III & IV posts).
