Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Kolkata has invited online applications for 108 Executive Trainee posts — Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, C&I and Mining — through GATE 2025 scores. Engineering graduates with a full-time B.E./B.Tech. degree and a valid GATE 2025 score can apply online from 6 November 2026, and the last date to apply is 6 December 2026.

Note: This is a NEW special drive (Advt. PLR/ET/04/2026/05) — it is different from DVC’s March 2026 drive (16 Executive Trainee posts in IT, Mining and Chemical, Advt. PLR/ET/02/2026/02), which is already closed. One candidate can apply for only ONE post/discipline. A service bond of Rs 5,00,000 (General/OBC/EWS) / Rs 2,50,000 (SC/ST/PwBD) applies for 1 year of probation plus 3 years of service.

PwBD reservation (horizontal, within the above, except Mining): 8 vacancies — Blindness and Low Vision 1, Deaf and Hard of Hearing 2, Locomotor disability 3, and Autism / intellectual disability / specific learning disability / mental illness / multiple disabilities 2. Age Limit

Maximum age (as on 06 December 2026, the closing date of online application): 29 years for Unreserved candidates. Age relaxation: OBC (NCL) +3 years, SC/ST +5 years, PwBD +10 years (UR) / +13 years (OBC) / +15 years (SC/ST); J&K domicile (01 January 1980 to 31 December 1989) +5 years; Ex-Servicemen and riot victims as per Govt. of India guidelines. There is no upper age limit for DVC Departmental candidates, but they must also qualify in the corresponding GATE 2025 paper.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be placed in Rs 56,100 – 1,77,500 per month in Pay Matrix Level-10 of the 7th CPC (M2 grade) during the one-year probation period. On successful completion of probation, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Manager on the same scale. The compensation package includes Basic Pay, Central Dearness Allowance (CDA), Medical Reimbursement, Leave Travel Allowance, NPS, Conveyance Allowance, Leave Encashment and HRA as per Corporation rules.

Selection Process

1. GATE 2025 marks (out of 100) only: Selection is based purely on the marks obtained in the corresponding GATE 2025 paper (ME / EE / CE / IN / MN). There is no written examination and no interview. Only GATE 2025 marks are valid — GATE 2024 or earlier scores are not valid.
2. Shortlisting for Document Verification (DV): Candidates will be shortlisted in the order of merit in the ratio of 1:5 or more to the number of category-wise vacancies in each discipline. Candidates with equal GATE marks will all be called for DV, even if the ratio increases.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for DV; the date, time and venue will be hosted on the DVC website only (no hard-copy call letters). Candidates must bring the original GATE 2025 admit card and scorecard, along with the printout of the online application and all supporting documents in original.
4. Pre-Employment Medical Examination by the DVC Medical Board before joining — the decision of the Board is final and binding, and no relaxation in health standards is allowed.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official DVC website (www.dvc.gov.in) and open Career → Recruitment Notices, then click the “APPLY ONLINE” link for Advt. No. PLR/ET/04/2026/05. Online registration is open from 06 November 2026 to 06 December 2026 (till 23:59 hrs).
2. Read the full official notification PDF carefully before applying, and keep ready a recent scanned photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) and signature (png/jpg/jpeg, max 2 MB) and PDFs (max 2 MB each) of your Class X/XII certificates, qualification certificate and GATE 2025 scorecard.
3. Register online with your correct email ID and mobile number (the same email and number must stay valid for at least one year), fill in the application form (Step 1), upload the photograph, signature and documents (Step 2), preview the form (Step 3) and submit it (Step 4). Remember: one candidate can apply for only ONE post/discipline.
4. Pay the application fee of Rs 300 online (if applicable) — the application is complete only after the fee is paid. Download the e-receipt and note down the Unique Application Number generated after submission, and keep a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
