Qualifications must be from UGC-recognised Indian Universities or AICTE-approved Institutes or Boards. For the Diploma-based Project Scientific Assistant posts, only a three-year Diploma will be considered. Qualification with B.E./B.Tech or Diploma with a minimum of 60% marks will be considered. As stated in the advertisement, candidates possessing a higher qualification than the one prescribed for Project Scientific Officer and Project Scientific Assistant posts will be treated as over-qualified and will not be screened in.

Age Limit
- Project Scientific Officer: Maximum Age 40 years
- Project Scientific Assistant: Maximum Age 35 years
- Age as on 16 November 2026
- Age relaxation is admissible to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen candidates, as per Government of India orders on the subject from time to time.
Salary Details
- Project Scientific Officer: Rs 72,930 per month (including HRA, consolidated)
- Project Scientific Assistant: Rs 46,020 per month (including HRA, consolidated)
- Medical Scheme facility under the Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS), for self only, is admissible, with the necessary deduction every month from salary or remuneration as per IPR CHSS rules.
Selection Process
- Online applications will be scrutinised on the basis of criteria such as age, educational qualification, category certificate and fee receipt. Only valid applicants will be called for Written Test and / or Interview.
- For Project Scientific Officer and Project Scientific Assistant posts, selection will be based solely on performance in the interview. If required, a written test may be conducted for screening purposes only.
- The list of selected candidates will be published on the Institute website. A wait list of candidates, in order of merit, will also be published and will remain valid for one year from the date of declaration of the final result.
- The written test and / or interview will be conducted in Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar, Gujarat. No TA will be paid to attend the written test or interview.

- Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph and scanned copies of the supporting documents, including proof of age, educational mark sheets, certificates or degrees, experience certificate(s) if any, certificate of caste or community or class in the prescribed format if applicable, and any other relevant document(s).
