Age Limit
Maximum age 30 years for both Scientist-B and Technical Assistant-A. Age relaxation and reservation for PwD candidates apply as per Government of India rules; 2 posts across the Technical Assistant-A, Assistant-A and Technician-A categories are reserved for suitable PwD (OH/HH/VH) candidates.
Salary Details
Scientist-B: Pay Level-10 of 7th CPC, total emoluments approximately Rs. 1,18,110 per month. Technical Assistant-A: Pay Level-6 of 7th CPC, total emoluments approximately Rs. 73,020 per month. Both include basic pay, DA, HRA and Transport Allowance as applicable, plus NPS, gratuity, group insurance, medical reimbursement, children education allowance and LTC as per prevailing norms.
Selection Process
Applications are first screened/shortlisted by a committee on academic performance and relevance of experience. Shortlisted candidates then appear for a Computer Based Competitive Written Examination (CWE), followed by Personal Interview (Scientist-B) or Trade/Skill Test (Technical Assistant-A). Scientist-B CWE: 100 MCQs of 3 marks each (300 marks, 3 hours, Hyderabad centre only, 1 mark negative per wrong answer); final selection on 50% CWE + 50% interview weightage. Technical Assistant-A CWE is followed by a trade/skill test for screened-in candidates.
