Age Limit
Upper age limit as on the crucial date 1 November 2026: UR / EWS — 30 years; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) — 33 years; SC — 35 years; ST — 35 years. Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 10 years for PwBD, 13 years for PwBD-OBC (NCL) and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST; Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines. In all cases, the maximum age after relaxation is 58 years as on the crucial date.
Salary Details
During the one-year training, Graduate Executive Trainees are placed in E-2 Grade with the pay scale Rs 50,000 – Rs 1,60,000 — Basic Pay Rs 50,000 per month plus Dearness Allowance and Common Allowance (35% of basic pay). The approximate CTC is Rs 14.50 lakh per annum, with Performance Related Pay, medical treatment, Group Insurance and residential accommodation (subject to availability). After successful completion of training, trainees are absorbed in E-3 Grade with the pay scale Rs 60,000 – Rs 1,80,000. Selected candidates have to execute a service bond of Rs 3,00,000 for 3 years after completion of training.
Selection Process
- GATE 2025 Score (80 marks): Candidates are shortlisted area-wise (separately for Area-1, 2, 3 and 4) in the ratio of 1:6 (or 1:10, as applicable) against the notified vacancies, in merit order of GATE 2025 marks.
- Personal Interview (20 marks): Shortlisted candidates appear for the personal interview.
- Final Merit: Final selection is in order of merit on the total of GATE 2025 marks (80) + Personal Interview marks (20) = 100 marks, with due reservation.
