Age Limit
Age as on 01.01.2026:
- OM: Maximum 40 years (not born before 01.01.1986, not born after 01.01.2008).
- SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / RBA / ALC-IB / EWS / OBC: Maximum 43 years (not born before 01.01.1983, not born after 01.01.2008).
- Physically Challenged Person: Maximum 42 years (not born before 01.01.1984).
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period is deducted from actual age, and if the resultant age does not exceed the prescribed maximum by more than 3 years the age condition is deemed satisfied, and such candidates must not be born after 01.01.2008.
Salary Details
Pay Level-6, Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 per month. Allowances and other benefits are not specified in the notification.
Selection Process
Selection is on the basis of merit in the written (OMR) examination only, followed by Document Verification. The examination consists of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions, set in English only, with negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to each question for every wrong answer. The syllabus, the number of questions, total marks and duration are not specified in the notification and will be notified separately on jkssb.nic.in. No interview. No TA/DA is paid for the written test or Document Verification. Only one online application is allowed for the same item number.
