Age Limit

Minimum age: 18 years. Maximum age (as on the last date of application): General Merit 40 years, Category 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B 43 years, SC, ST and Category-1 45 years. Further relaxation for government service, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities and other categories applies as per the official notification and Karnataka Government rules.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs 54,175 – 99,400 per month, plus allowances as per Karnataka Government rules. The exact scale may differ slightly by department and post — check it against your chosen post in the official notification.

Selection Process

1. Competitive Examination (Offline OMR): Paper-1 (General Knowledge, 100 questions / 100 marks, 2 hours) and Paper-2 (Specific Paper, 100 questions / 100 marks, 2 hours). Minimum 35% marks required to qualify; 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
2. Qualifying Kannada Language Test: 150 marks maximum, 50 marks minimum to qualify (marks do not count for selection or seniority), unless exempted.
3. Merit / Rank based on percentage of total marks in the competitive examination.
4. Online Counselling with option entry, Candidate Verification Slip and mock allotment, followed by provisional and final selection lists.
5. Document Verification by the appointing authority before appointment. There is no interview in this recruitment.
