ऑयल एंड नेचुरल गैस कॉरपोरेशन लिमिटेड (ONGC) ने अप्रेंटिसशिप अधिनियम, 1961 के तहत वित्त वर्ष 2026-27 के लिए 3,047 अप्रेंटिस पदों की भर्ती का विज्ञापन जारी किया है। इसमें आईटीआई ट्रेड, डिप्लोमा और स्नातक स्तर के पद शामिल हैं, जो देश भर के 24 कार्य केंद्रों पर हैं। पात्र उम्मीदवार 29 अक्टूबर 2026 से 20 नवंबर 2026 तक NAPS पोर्टल (ट्रेड अप्रेंटिस) या NATS पोर्टल (स्नातक/डिप्लोमा) के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। चयन योग्यता परीक्षा के अंकों की मेरिट और दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन से होगा, और स्टाइपेंड योग्यता के अनुसार 8,200 रुपये से 12,300 रुपये प्रति माह तक मिलेगा।

Eligibility conditions: A candidate may apply under one sector, for one work centre and for one trade only. A candidate is eligible for a particular work centre only if he or she is a resident (domicile) of, or has obtained the requisite qualification from, the eligible district(s) for that work centre, as listed in Annexure-I of the notification. Vocational trade certificates must be from ITIs or technical institutions recognised by the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) or the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). For Electrician posts, a trade certificate in Wireman trade is not acceptable.

Age Limit

Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 24 years as on 29 November 2026, i.e. the date of birth of the candidate must be between 29 November 2002 and 29 November 2008. Relaxation: upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. Candidates belonging to PwBD categories are given age relaxation up to 10 years, up to 15 years for SC/ST PwBD candidates and up to 13 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) PwBD candidates.

Salary Details

Apprentices are eligible for monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act during their period of engagement. ONGC will not provide any financial assistance towards transportation, and trainees are not eligible for any TA/DA, boarding or lodging expenses during training.

Selection Process

Selection is through a provisional merit list prepared separately for the relevant trades/disciplines and work centres, based on the marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination. In the event of a tie in merit, the candidate older in age is given preference. Candidates shortlisted from the provisional merit list are called for document verification, and the final merit list is prepared from candidates whose eligibility has been established, taking into account the notified vacancies, merit position, applicable reservation provisions and tie-breaking criteria. The final merit list or list of selected candidates will be published on the official ONGC website and/or communicated through the registered email addresses of the candidates. Shortlisting for document verification does not confer any right to engagement as an apprentice.

How to Apply

1. Read the eligibility criteria in Para C of the advertisement and check that your district of residence or qualification district is eligible for your chosen work centre (Annexure-I).
2. Trade apprentices: register and submit the application through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
3. Graduate and diploma apprentices: register and submit the application through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.
4. Apply for one sector, one work centre and one trade only, with correct registration, qualification and personal details on the portal.
5. Submit the application on or before 20 November 2026. Applications submitted in hard copy, by post, by hand or through any other mode will not be accepted.
